Training

Equipment Services provides training to staff and faculty on audiovisual equipment. Training is available in the use of any piece of equipment we provide. Much of the equipment we provide is technical and requires practice to become adept in its use. How many times have you been lecturing and found your notes were out of order and fumbled in front of class to recover? Adding a piece of technical equipment to this scenario magnifies the problem considerably.

Practice is needed to ensure that you feel as comfortable with any piece audiovisual equipment as you would with chalk and a chalkboard.

Equipment Services will be happy to provide training in the classroom you have been assigned, at our main office in the University Teaching Center or wherever will be most convenient for you. We will teach you basic set-up and operation as well as troubleshooting techniques. Training only takes a few moments and will reduce frustration. Equipment for practice may also be available for checkout if desired. Call 621-3852 or email and a technician will contact you to set up a time which is good for you.
